Theresa Makes Her Work Day Less Challenging with New Hearing Aids
Theresa is a kitchen designer and office manager for a small cabinet shop in Langley.
“I work very closely with our customers from the first time they enter our showroom through to installation and deficiency completion,” she explains.
She also suffers from hearing loss.
“I have moderate to severe hearing loss in my right ear and mild to moderate loss in my left. Without being able to hear effectively, it proved challenging to be able to record accurate information and changes.”
While Theresa used hearing aids, her set was no longer effective. At a trade show, she had her aids looked at, and was referred to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services.
Through the ATS program, she received two new hearing aids, as well as maintenance and batteries.
The difference is profound, greatly improving her ability to work. She recommends the ATS program to others in need.
“I am able to hear my employer, colleagues, customers, and suppliers,” Theresa says.
WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
