Miranda works as an accounts payable administrator for an electrical company in Prince George.

“I am completely deaf on my left side and only have 30% hearing on my right,” she shares. “Not being able to hear at work was stressful.”

Her audiologist referred her to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for funding for new hearing aids. She applied and was quickly approved for new hearing aids.

“[WorkBC Assistive Technology Services staff were] phenomenal in working together with myself and the audiologist to get me into the hearing aids that I have,” she explains.

Miranda “100%” recommends WorkBC Assistive Technology Services to others in need, saying she is truly grateful that the program was able to help her.

“It has made my interactions at work much less stressful,” she says. “I’m more able to play a larger role in and around our office.”
