New Hearing Aids Helps Colin Participate in Meetings at Work

Colin’s work involves a lot of meetings, taking place online, over the phone, and in-person on construction sites. However, he has hearing loss in both ears, which was affecting his ability to communicate during meetings.

His audiologist referred him to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for help funding the hearing aids he needed for work.

“[Assistive Technology Services] helped with the cost, which brought the hearing aids to a level I could afford,” he explains.

Since getting his new hearing aids, Colin has seen a big difference on the job.

“[I have] easier communication in and out of the office environment,” he shares. “I pick up on the conversations around me better and not having to get people to repeat.”

Colin says he “sure would” recommend WorkBC Assistive Technology Services, praising the service he received from “very friendly and helpful staff.”

WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
