New Hearing Aids Help Carolina Land the “Perfect Job”
With the help of new hearing aids received through WorkBC Assistive Technology Services, Carolina says she has found her “perfect job.”
Carolina is hard of hearing.
“[It] does affect you with your confidence,” she shares.
While in the job search process, she was referred to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for funding for new hearing aids. She applied, and before long, she had her new hearing aids and was ready to give her best to a new workplace.
“The hearing aids helped me to gain my confidence back to go back to the workforce full force,” she says.
Her job search was successful, finding a good job with a hotel. However, with the confidence gained from her new hearing aids, it didn’t take long for her to take a step up in her career goals, and land what she calls her “perfect job” with a bank in Vancouver.
Carolina says she would “absolutely” recommend WorkBC Assistive Technology Services to others in need.
“[I] wish others to know how great of a program it is,” she says. “My greatest appreciation for the time and support given to me.”
WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
