New Hearing Aids Help Neel Be More Productive at Work
Neel is employed in the insurance industry as a Disability Claim Consultant. His job involves coaching and mentoring new case managers once they complete their formal training.
“My hearing loss made it difficult to interact with clients professionally,” he shares. “It was difficult to understand what they were saying to me.”
His hearing specialist referred him to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services (ATS) for help obtaining new hearing aids.
“ATS provided funding towards my hearing aids,” he says.
The difference at work has been night and day.
“I’m far more productive now that I can hear better. I no longer need to ask people to constantly repeat themselves,” he explains.
“[I’m] still doing the same job, but I’m no longer at risk of losing it as my productivity has improved significantly.”
Neel says he would recommend WorkBC Assistive Technology Services to others.
“Thanks for the assistance!”
WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
