WorkBC Assistive Technology Services Helps Ed Participate in Work Meetings
Ed works as a civil engineer in Surrey.
“I lost my hearing almost 10 years ago, which created many barriers and stress. It was very difficult to understand and interact during conversations,” he shares.
His audiologist referred him to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for funding for new hearing aids. He applied to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services and was quickly approved for a new set of hearing aids.
The new hearing aids have made a big difference during his workday, making it much easier to interact with his co-workers.
“Now I can participate in most of the meetings and team discussions,” he explains. “[The hearing aids are] helping me to understand the project team and company management. Relieves the stress.”
Ed says he recommends WorkBC Assistive Technology Services, and looks forward to spreading the word at work and with his friends.
“I got great help from a lovely team, many thanks, and I really appreciate them,” he says. “[They] gave me a great hand to achieve this level of hearing and communication.
“I wish you many blessings and success in the future.”
